Choosing a fountain pen from Slowmere

Start with how the pen will fit into your writing routine: a few notes between tasks, a letter at the kitchen table, or an evening journal entry. Then compare the details that affect the model you order, beyond its color.

  • Writing options: Check the nib information and any options available to select. Match the selected version to the description, especially when a listing mentions more than one point size.
  • Shape and handling: Look at the grip, cap, and body profile. Where measurements are provided, compare them with a pen you already use; appearance alone cannot tell you how a pen will feel in your hand.
  • Operation and contents: Check how the pen opens and how it takes ink. Confirm any supplies you need alongside it rather than assuming a pictured accessory is included.

Two designs to consider

Clear fountain pen has a transparent resin body that reveals the mechanism inside. It is an option if you enjoy seeing those details as part of the design. The description lists several nib choices; confirm the supplied option if no selector appears.

Black retractable fountain pen uses a press mechanism to extend and retract the nib, so there is no separate cap to remove between notes. Its matte black body and rose-gold clip offer a different appearance from the clear model.

Questions before you order a Fountain Pen:

What should I check before ordering a fountain pen?

Check the exact model, any selectable options, and the filling information on its product page. If a description mentions several nib choices but you cannot select one, contact Slowmere before ordering to confirm which version you will receive.

How can I confirm what comes with my pen?

Look for an explicit list of included items on the product page. If ink, a filling accessory, or packaging is not specified, contact Slowmere before purchasing. A styled photograph alone does not confirm the contents of your order.

When will I receive tracking information?

Tracking information is provided after your order has been processed and shipped. Updates can take several business days to appear after shipment confirmation, so the first tracking entry may not be available as soon as you receive the notification.

Who pays for return shipping?

Customers pay return shipping unless the item received is defective, damaged, or incorrect. Original shipping charges are not refundable. Contact Slowmere before sending anything back so you receive the return instructions and the appropriate address for your order.
